Tunisian authorities have moved to dissolve Al Khatt, the parent company of investigative news outlet Inkyfada. A three-judge panel at the Tunis Court of First Instance is scheduled to review the executive office's request on Monday.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) states the dissolution request stems not from a specific charge, but from a "years-long campaign" targeting the organization. Oussama Bouagila, director of RSF's North Africa office, said the procedure fits a "broader pattern of institutional censorship," using administrative and judicial tools to eliminate independent media.

Al Khatt, a non-governmental organization, was established in 2013. Its mission includes supporting independent journalism and media literacy within Tunisia. The organization also publishes and partly funds Inkyfada.

Inkyfada has partnered with the ICIJ on several significant cross-border investigations. These projects include the Panama Papers, the Pandora Papers, and the Implant Files. The outlet previously contributed to global exposés such as the Panama Papers.
