Kyl Smith launched Xenesta in early 2014, establishing the health and nutrition multi-level marketing company from Texas. Smith, who founded the firm, is presented as a "pioneer in the world of natural medicine" on the Xenesta website.
Smith's corporate biography on the Xenesta website does not directly mention his multi-level marketing background. His prior work included a role on the Scientific Advisory Board for Xooma Worldwide, another health and nutrition company. Smith joined Xooma in 2008, and his name appeared prominently in company promotions.
One Xooma promotion stated, "Ron Howell of Xooma World Wide (A 17 year old established company) and Dr. Kyl Smith (The former founder of Focus Factor) and the inventor of the new product Focus UP, along with Randy Heaton (The Founding Distributor) and Master Distributor Ronnie Web have joined forces to bring you X20, MetaboWize and Focus UP." Today, Kyl Smith's name no longer appears on the Xooma website.
Xenesta's primary product is MemoryWorks, a drink mix. This "Patent-Pending blend" contains "internationally researched energetic nutrients and botanical ingredients." The company claims it promotes mental energy, focus, concentration, memory, and overall mental performance.
Emerging research, Xenesta notes, suggests support for healthy brain function is possible. This includes neurotransmitter production, myelin sheath generation, stress response, energy metabolism, and antioxidant defense. The company targets individuals concerned with mental performance amid busy lifestyles.
MemoryWorks sells for $34.95 per box, which contains 12 single-serve sachets. The Xenesta website, however, does not display this price unless a visitor accesses the site through an affiliate referral link.
The Xenesta compensation plan centers on affiliates and preferred customers buying the MemoryWorks product. Commissions are paid through a 3x10 matrix. An additional residual commission is paid via a binary structure.
Xenesta defines seven affiliate membership ranks. These ranks, along with their qualification criteria, include: Affiliate, requiring sign-up and one order; Associate, requiring a $34.95 monthly autoship order and recruitment of at least two affiliates (one on each side of the binary); Director, requiring a $59.95 monthly autoship order and $1000 in weekly sales volume from the weaker binary team; Executive Director, requiring a $59.95 monthly autoship order and $5000 in weekly sales volume from the weaker binary team; and Regional Director, which also requires a $59.95 monthly autoship order.
