ScamTelegraph reports that Talk Fusion, a digital communication multi-level marketing company founded in 2007 and based in Florida, offers video communication packages, with its CEO Bob Reina having a history in similar MLM ventures since 2001. The company’s primary offering is built on the concept of embedding video directly into email communications.
Founder and CEO Bob Reina established Talk Fusion with the stated aim of achieving what America Online reportedly deemed "impossible" at the time: sending video within an email. According to the company's corporate biography, Reina enlisted an IT expert to develop this capability, which he then positioned as the foundation of Talk Fusion's business model.
Prior to launching Talk Fusion, Reina was involved in other multi-level marketing ventures. In 2001, he founded Travel Reaction, a travel MLM company that remains operational. Travel Reaction charges affiliates $249 for access to third-party travel discounts and pays commissions on travel bookings made by members. Around 2005, Reina also launched Cash Card Worldwide, a similar travel discount venture that charged affiliates $499. Cash Card Worldwide offered up to a 50% commission split on various travel services and additional commissions for referring new affiliates, but is no longer in business today.
Talk Fusion has also engaged in legal actions to protect its business interests. In 2011, the company sued former affiliates J.J. Ulrich and Joe Read, alleging they used trade secrets to recruit Talk Fusion affiliates to iWowWe, another online communication MLM company. Talk Fusion successfully obtained an injunction prohibiting Ulrich and Read from raiding its affiliate base.
A more public legal battle occurred in March 2013 when Talk Fusion pursued a claim against the popular Russian social network VKontakte. The company sought $290,980 in damages, asserting that certain posts on the VKontakte site were defamatory, referring to Talk Fusion as a "covert financial pyramid" and stating that promotional content for it would be blocked.
The lawsuit against VKontakte was dismissed in June 2013 after one of the defendants claimed their VKontakte account had been hacked, and damaging information was placed on it by unidentified individuals. VKontakte representatives informed the court that they had not published defamatory information but merely responded to users inquiring about blocked Talk Fusion advertisements, noting that technical letters pointed to "elements of a financial pyramid."
