Sozo Global Inc. launched in April 2009 from Texas. Mark Adams holds multiple roles as Co-founder, Chairman, CEO, and President of the company. J. Larry Cantrell and John Constantine are also listed as co-founders, but they do not appear in executive management positions within Sozo.

Adams' executive biography states he is an experienced entrepreneur with six prior successful business startups, all still in operation. Independent verification of these businesses has not been publicly documented. It is unclear if Sozo marks Adams' first venture into multi-level marketing.

Sozo markets a line of beverages centered on coffee berry, also known as coffee fruit, as a key ingredient. The company's website claims research indicates compounds in whole coffee fruit may help neutralize free radicals, promote healthy cardiovascular function, support glucose metabolism, and boost energy, mood, focus, and mental clarity.

Sozo describes its Select Coffee as "the healthiest coffee in the world." The company states that while most coffee harvesters discard the coffee fruit, Sozo captures its "high-ORAC goodness" in a healthy drink. Sozo uses a patented process to preserve the whole coffee fruit's nutrition while retaining the bean's flavor.

The instant coffee comes in single-serve sachets, available in Caffe Latte and Dark Roast flavors. Sozo also sells a "nutritional beverage," which it calls "the most nutritional beverage on the planet." This product contains a proprietary blend of CoffeeBerry and other fruit and vegetable extracts, designed to offer broad antioxidant protection.

Another product, Sozo Ignite Energy Drink, features naturally occurring caffeine. Sozo says Ignite's blend of antioxidant-rich extracts promotes alertness and mental acuity, reduces stress, and supports endurance without causing jitters.

The Sozo compensation plan includes retail commissions, residual weekly commissions through a binary structure, and matching bonuses via a unilevel team. Several incentive bonuses are available to qualifying affiliates. Affiliates earn retail commissions when customers buy products through replicated storefronts. This commission is the difference between the retail and wholesale cost of the product.
