SalesVision and the Family Business That Won't Die

A distributor account termination turned into a legal threat, and the receipts tell a messy story.

SalesVision sells itself as a digital marketing agency. The website screams mid-2010s—yellow highlights, bold red text, endless scrolling before you hit the price. The company's leadership structure is transparent, at least. Vince Ortega Jr. runs things as President and CEO, with his parents Vincent and Gillian listed as co-founders.

This family trio has form. In 2018, they launched Elevated Legacy, a $19.99-a-month operation that promised Facebook data access before pivoting to reselling cheap watches and CBD oil through My Daily Choice. Now, two years later, they're at it again with SalesVision.

The timing matters. SalesVision was built as a sales tool for My Daily Choice, the supplement and wellness company. Then in November, My Daily Choice terminated Ortega's distributor account, classifying SalesVision as a competing business.

Ortega didn't take it quietly. On Facebook, he claimed the termination was wrong and said his lawyers were building a case against My Daily Choice. He insisted SalesVision wasn't competition—it was a "super affiliate program," he said, not a direct sales or network marketing company. The distinction, he suggested, meant he didn't violate My Daily Choice's new rules restricting distributors to a single income stream.

But his own words complicate that argument.

In the same Facebook post where he announced his legal plans, Ortega discussed SalesVision's financial trajectory. He projected stacking "10 million" in the bank by early 2020 and claimed that only two people had requested refunds so far. Those two, he said, got scared after My Daily Choice updated its terms to prohibit promoting other companies.

Then came the telling part. Ortega explained that once SalesVision had enough cash reserves—what he called "float money"—they'd ditch the 30-day money-back guarantee many customers had purchased. The reason: they'd have enough profit margin to absorb chargebacks and refund requests without bleeding out.

"Honestly, I don't think it will be happening very often," Ortega wrote.

That framing matters. A legitimate affiliate program doesn't dangle a money-back guarantee as a temporary courtesy with plans to revoke it once the company hits certain profit thresholds. It's the kind of move that suggests the guarantee was always performative—a sales tactic rather than a real commitment to customer protection.

The legal battle Ortega promised never materialized publicly. What did materialize was the familiar pattern: a family business model recycled from one venture to the next, aggressive growth projections, and a founder confident enough to explain his strategy for managing future refund requests in writing.

Whether My Daily Choice was right to terminate Ortega's account or whether SalesVision truly operates outside the direct sales structure, one thing is clear. Ortega put his business strategy on display, and it revealed a company more focused on cash flow management than customer confidence.
