A real-estate investment scheme with a troubling pattern is raising red flags. ResClub, which launched its MLM operation in mid-2022 out of Florida, sits at the center of questions about how the company assembled its leadership team.
Craig Shawn Williamson founded ResClub and serves as CEO. His corporate biography touts over 20 years in the branded luxury property space, citing positions at Four Seasons, Hard Rock, Fairfield, AECOM, Nicklaus Corporation, and Encore Capital Management. This marks Williamson's first venture as an MLM executive.
But Williamson isn't the real concern here. That distinction belongs to Peter Jensen, who joined ResClub as VP of Global Sales.
Jensen carries serious baggage. The man built his reputation—and his fortune—running pyramid schemes.
He rose to prominence as a top promoter of YTB Travel, a travel MLM that California Attorney General Jerry Brown sued in 2008. The out-of-court settlement forced YTB to restructure its business model. Membership collapsed under the weight of the scandal.
Jensen left YTB in 2009 and launched AMA Nation the following year. Within a year, AMA stole its own affiliates' customers and shut down MLM operations entirely.
In 2012, Jensen pled guilty to tax evasion. A year later, he faced a $2.1 million fine and 31 months in prison. He didn't serve the full sentence. Released early in 2014, Jensen immediately launched RE247365, a real-estate themed membership pyramid scheme. The operation collapsed by the end of 2014. Instead of admitting what he'd done, Jensen spun a story about frozen funds and fraud.
The pattern continued. In 2016, Jensen became a Master Distributor for Direct Cellars. That company collapsed in 2019. As Direct Cellars was failing, Jensen signed on as a "spokesperson/consultant" for isXperia in late 2018, a role he held until November 2021. Then came Real Rise Academy. By mid-2022, he was at ResClub.
ResClub itself operates with no retailable products or services. Affiliates market only the affiliate membership itself. The company offers members access to what it describes as a passive investment scheme.
The structure speaks volumes. When a company has no actual products—when members exist only to recruit other members—the mathematics of the operation become clear. Someone has to lose money. Usually, it's the recruits at the bottom.
Jensen's history suggests he knows exactly how these schemes work. He's made millions running them. ResClub's decision to place him in a senior leadership position isn't accidental. It's a statement about what the company intends to do.
