Neucopia, operating from a Nevada virtual office, charges members fees without selling products. Rich Cook leads the company, promoted as a networking "titan" despite a blank online multi-level marketing history.
The company registered its domain in May 2012, keeping registration details private. An affiliate named Kevin stated in June 2012 that Neucopia focused on recruitment, not product sales. Kevin also noted Cook resides in San Diego, a detail not advertised by the company.
Neucopia's business model lacks products or services. Members pay solely to recruit other members.
Membership has two tiers. Basic costs $49.95 monthly, promising "thousands of dollars worth" of training and income strategies. Premier membership runs $169.95 each month, adding "exclusive access" to conference calls, webinars, and "secret strategies."
The compensation plan prioritizes recruitment. New members must pass up their first three Basic sales or two Premier sales before earning. After qualifying, they get $100 per new recruit, regardless of the recruit's tier.
Premier members generate $100 monthly residual commissions for their recruiter. Basic members do not qualify for this; those commissions automatically roll up to the nearest Premier member above them. A matching bonus gives $10 to the recruiter of a Premier member earning the monthly $100.
Neucopia's revenue comes only from membership fees. People cannot earn money unless they recruit others. The products do not exist, and the training materials serve as a cover. Cook's network marketing background appears fabricated.
This structure matches a recruitment scheme. New members pay to join, get promised income for recruiting, and must find others to recover initial costs. Those at the top, like Cook, profit from every membership sold beneath them. Others pursue recruitment targets that quickly become impossible to meet.
The private domain registration, Cook's vague background, and the lack of a real business beyond collecting fees are not accidents. They are elements of a system designed to move money from the bottom of the pyramid to the top.
