Generation Zoe founder Leonardo Cositorto has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A Goya court handed down Cositorto’s sentence earlier today, following a
guilty verdict last Thursday
.

In handing down its sentence, the court cited Cositorto (right) as an “ideologist behind a criminal conglomerate”.

This tracks with Costitorto showing no remorse about the financial harm to consumers Generation Zoe caused,  even as his guilty verdict was read out last week.

Although
Generation Zoe
was an MLM crypto Ponzi created to steal money, at sentencing Costitorto claimed he “never had the intention of defrauding anyone”.

Between his guilty verdict and sentencing, Cositorto
continued to promote his recently launched DRACMA shitcoin scam
from prison:

Cositorto
has access to an illegal cell phone in prison
, which for some reason Goya’s prison authorities continue to turn a blind eye to.

As
reported by Infobae
, Cositorto’s accomplices Maximiliano Batista and Lucas Camelino were each handed down eight year sentences.

In response to the sentences, Cositorto stated;

“We do not see the sentence as sustainable and even less well-founded. We are going to appeal and denounce the judges for prevarication,” Cositorto said in an interview with Infobae.

Outside of Goya Cositorto faces Generation Zoe criminal cases in three other Argentinian jurisdictions.

While not guaranteed (Argentina’s top financial regulator
refused to prosecute Generation Zoe and Cositorto for securities fraud
), guilty verdicts are likely in those cases too.

Cositorto’s total time spent in prison remains to be seen.
