Paul Careless founded LegalCare, a company based in East Sussex that claims to be the UK's fastest growing network marketing enterprise. Careless, identified as CEO, launched the legal service firm which operates on a recruitment-driven model for its membership offerings.
LegalCare's website describes Careless as "one of the UK's best known entrepreneurs." His company biography states he "rapidly built and sold several successful businesses" and "excels at creating and executing disruptive business models." His past ventures include HenHeaven and The Stag Company, where he served as CEO and founder from 2001 to 2006. He then worked as Marketing Director for MoneyExpert.com from 2006 to 2010.
Careless later founded Aska Professional Limited, or Aska, operating from 2011 to 2012. This entity traded as "Right Solicitor" via rightsolicitor.co.uk. Right Solicitor functions as an "ask-a-solicitor" Q&A website. It claims to generate over 10,000 inquiries each month and reports continuous growth. LegalCare credits Right Solicitor as the "inspiration" for its own business model.
LegalCare sells membership-based legal services. Members pay 14 GBP monthly or 150 GBP annually. The company describes its service as providing "access to Solicitors whenever you need them, from the small issues, to the life-changing ones." Specific services listed include unlimited legal advice and template legal documents. Members also receive a will pack and a document review service. Family cover extends to five people under one membership.
If a member requires services beyond the scope of direct advice, LegalCare states a discount applies. In cases where formal instruction of a solicitor becomes necessary, members receive up to a 25% discount. This applies to the standard fees of LegalCare's partner law firms.
The LegalCare compensation plan ties commissions to the recruitment of new members. Associates earn payments based on these new memberships and their ongoing monthly or annual fees. LegalCare uses a unilevel compensation structure. An associate sits at the top of their unilevel team. Any members they personally recruit are placed directly under them on level 1. This level can scale infinitely wide.
If level 1 recruits bring in new members, those individuals are placed on level 2 of the original associate's team. Subsequent recruitment by level 2 associates places new members on level 3, and so forth. Commissions are calculated as a percentage of monthly membership fees, or pro-rata from annual payments. The payout structure extends down three levels of recruitment. Level 1 recruits yield 12%, level 2 recruits generate 6%, and level 3 recruits provide 4%. After an associate sells 100 memberships, their commission rate increases.
