Over the weekend OneCoin’s Konstantin Ignatov was released from prison. Conversely but for an unrelated reason, Mark Scott returned to prison.
I was hoping we’d get a case docket update today but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
According to the Federal Burea of Prisons inmate search, Konstantin Ignatov was released on March 13th.
It’s important to note that this doesn’t mean US authorities have released Ignatov out into the wild.
Ignatov is facing ninety years in prison and has reached a plea deal with the DOJ.
He’s going into witness protection at some point but it’s unclear whether his recent release is a precursor to that, or whether Ignatov is being moved somewhere else.
Mark Scott has landed himself back in prison following bail conditions violations.
Inner City Press
report
Scott dined out and was spending money stashed in Cayman Islands accounts.
As of yet there’s no entries on Scott’s OneCoin case docket regarding his reincarceration.
Inner City Press have also surmised that Ignatov was released following a non-public sentencing hearing. I can’t verify that at this time.
Pending any further docket updates throughout the week, stay tuned…
Update July 18th 2020 –
As per a July 8th hearing, Konstantin Ignatov’s sentencing hearing has been delayed until November 11th, 2020.
