William "Bill" Starkey founded iWowWe in 2007, initially offering video communication tools before pivoting to a multi-level marketing model in May 2011. The company sought to capitalize on the growing demand for internet video, aiming to integrate it into daily lives and business interactions.

iWowWe now combines its MLM structure with a premium video service. The company competes with its own distributor base, focusing on larger corporate clients. Its MLM marketers handle product sales locally and online. This model places iWowWe against free social networks and traditional email platforms in the video conferencing market.

The iWowWe product line centers on internet video. Its primary offerings include video email and video conferencing. Video email is available for free, requiring users to register and log into the company website to send messages. The video meeting product costs $20 per month and provides video conferencing capabilities.

Additional services are sold separately. Users can pay a one-time fee of $295 to remove the iWowWe logo from their video emails. A custom graphic package, including logo design, costs $495. A custom video trailer, intended as an introduction for user videos, is priced at $99.

The iWowWe opportunity offers ten membership ranks. New members begin as an Affiliate upon joining the company. To advance to Director, a member must personally sponsor three affiliates who purchase either the Basic or Premium Package.

Reaching Senior Director requires personally sponsoring at least six affiliates who have bought a Basic or Premium Package. An Executive Director must personally sponsor at least nine such affiliates. Further progression to Executive Director II means three of a member's personally sponsored affiliates must achieve the Executive Director rank. For Executive Director III, six personally sponsored affiliates need to reach Executive Director.
