IOI Mall, operating under the domain ioi-mall.com, launched on July 24th, 2024, with its website registered using fabricated details through Alibaba (Singapore). The platform offers no transparency regarding its ownership or executive team.
The company markets only its affiliate membership, providing no actual products or services for sale. Affiliates are instructed to recruit new members to generate revenue. The scheme requires participants to invest tether (USDT) with promises of daily returns based on investment tiers. For instance, a VIP1 membership demands a 10 USDT investment for a daily payout of 3 USDT, while VIP12 requires 68,888 USDT for a daily return of 37,236 USDT.
Referral commissions are paid on three levels of recruitment. Level 1 recruits earn a 10% commission, level 2 earns 3%, and level 3 earns 1% of the invested USDT. Additional bonuses are offered for downline investment volume. Generating 100,000 USDT in downline investment yields an 8,000 USDT bonus, increasing to 50,000 USDT for 500,000 USDT in downline investment.
Joining IOI Mall is free, but full participation in the income opportunity necessitates a minimum 10 USDT investment. The platform is a classic "click a button" Ponzi scheme. It appropriates the branding of the Malaysian conglomerate IOI Group, despite having no affiliation with the legitimate company.
The scheme's operational premise involves affiliates logging into the platform daily to "click a button" to process "orders." This action purportedly qualifies investors for daily returns. However, no external business activities or revenue generation support these payouts. The platform simply recycles new investments to pay earlier participants. This model is identical to numerous collapsed "click a button" schemes, including AI Gemini VIP, The AH Mall, and Hennessy Mall, which similarly exploited stolen identities. ScamTelegraph has documented hundreds of such schemes since 2021, most of which operate for only a few weeks before collapsing.
