Richard Maike, Doyce G. Barnes, and Faraday Hosseinipour have been ordered to pay more than $10 million in restitution in the Infinity2Global criminal case. A June 6th restitution order mandates Maike, the founder and CEO, to return $5.2 million, with an additional $1.29 million designated for the IRS. Barnes and Hosseinipour, identified as top promoters, each face restitution payments of $3.92 million.
Victim contributions and evidence from cooperating co-defendant Jason Syn formed the basis for calculating these restitution amounts. The court has prioritized Infinity2Global victims for the distribution of these funds, placing them ahead of the IRS.
Maike received a 10-year prison sentence in December 2022. Barnes was sentenced to four years, and Hosseinipour to two and a half years, in December 2022 and January 2023, respectively. Jason Syn is scheduled to plead guilty on September 14th, following the convictions of his co-defendants. Dennis Dvorin, another defendant, was slated to go to trial on October 31st, 2023. The case against Richard Anzalone was dismissed after his death last December.
An August 2nd order scheduled a Change of Plea hearing for Dennis Dvorin on September 26th. His sentencing was tentatively set for October 31st. Later, Dvorin’s Change of Plea hearing was rescheduled to October 31st. Jason Syn’s plea hearing was also delayed to December 19th due to interpreter scheduling issues.
