Christopher Terry’s IM Mastery Academy has rebranded as Iyovia, a move that appears to be another attempt to evade numerous international fraud warnings. The company’s website domain was registered in August 2024, with social media accounts following shortly after.
Iyovia’s operational structure mirrors that of its predecessor, IM Mastery Academy. The business model continues to center on purported educational packages bundled with pyramid recruitment schemes. There is no evidence to suggest a change in the multi-level marketing compensation plan previously employed.
Ownership and executive details are absent from Iyovia’s new website. Crucially, the site omits any mention of the extensive regulatory fraud warnings and enforcement actions that have targeted IM Mastery Academy. This lack of transparency is a recurring theme for Terry's ventures.
IM Mastery Academy originated as iMarketsLive. The company rebranded to IM Mastery Academy after a 2018 commodities fraud enforcement action by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This publication has followed Terry's activities since 2013, raising concerns about pyramid scheme operations and securities fraud.
The 2018 CFTC action resulted in a $150,000 fine against iMarketsLive. A subsequent rebranding to IM Mastery Academy in 2019 was viewed as a step away from regulatory compliance, according to earlier reviews. The current offering under Iyovia appears to align closely with the company's initial business model.
This business model has drawn scrutiny from regulators worldwide. Over a dozen fraud warnings and enforcement actions have been issued against the company and its aliases. These include a securities fraud warning from Colombia in October 2017 and a pyramid fraud warning from Curaçao and Sint Maarten in November 2017.
The UK issued a warning in July 2018, labeling iMarketsLive as "scammers." Peru issued a warning in December 2020, stating IM Mastery Academy was operating illegally. Colombia issued another securities fraud warning in February 2022. Spain arrested several IM Mastery Academy affiliate leaders in March 2022.
Poland issued a pyramid fraud warning in August 2022. In May 2023, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) disclosed an investigation into IM Mastery Academy for consumer protection law violations. Luxembourg issued a securities fraud warning and arrested promoter leaders in May and June 2023, respectively.
Poland charged three IM Mastery Academy representatives in September 2023 with promoting a pyramid-type system. Most recently, Quebec, Canada, issued a securities fraud warning against IM Mastery Academy in November 2024.
A November 6th marketing video for Iyovia begins with an emphasis on exaggerated voiceovers. The video provides no new information regarding the company's operations or compliance efforts.
