Top Traders Domain Ponzi promoter Holton Buggs has consented to surrender multiple assets to a court-appointed Receiver.
Following
sanctions for non-cooperation
in February, Buggs’ asset settlement was filed on June 2nd.
As per the reached asset settlement, Buggs (right) will surrender
three vacant lots in the Fifth Ward of Houston, Texas;
a residential property in Houston, Texas;
two Tampa, Florida properties;
$9500 in cash;
$125,000 Buggs paid to a law firm as a retainer;
a lien on a Tesla Model X equal to the market value of the vehicle;
a 2010 SeaDoo 230 Wake watercraft;
a 2009 Can-AM Spyder GS motorcycle;
a Rolex watch held in a safe in Miami;
a Breitling watch;
an Aximm watch;
a Glock 9 held in a safe in Houston;
a “Muhammed Ali picture”; and
an Audemars watch, diamond necklace and diamond earrings Buggs gifted to his wife
The above assets will be held by the Traders Domain Receiver pending the outcome of the ongoing CFTC fraud case.
Pending inspection of the residential Houston property, Buggs has been granted permission to continue residing there and using the Tesla.
Buggs’ “mother and other family members” were permitted to reside in the Tampa properties,
provided Mr. Buggs continues to use New Income to pay any mortgage on the Tampa Properties, insurance, utilities and maintenance.
Additionally the Receiver secured;
a one million dollar lien against another Houston, Texas residential property;
Buggs’ ongoing full cooperation, including “full and complete accounting” related to his The Traders Domain activity
Buggs appearing for a financial accounting deposition if required
Another law firm was permitted to keep $340,029 Buggs paid as a retainer to continue funding his Traders Domain representation.
Buggs, as a top promoter, is believed to have stolen over $125 million dollars through The Traders Domain Ponzi scheme.

a third-party company has been granted permission to foreclose defendant Juan Herman’s Florida property (Herman has allegedly fled to Dubai); and
the Receiver has filed a renewed motion seeking sanctions against Alex Santiesteban and Archie Rice, with a hearing scheduled for June 11th

Following a joint motion filed on June 9th, the Alex Santiesteban and Archie Rice contempt hearing has been continued to June 27th.

As per a June 24th court order, the Alex Santiesteban and Archie Rice contempt hearing has been reset to August 8th.
Update 17th August 2025 –
The Receiver’s contempt proceedings against Archie Rice were dropped, presumably as a result of his cooperation.
An August 12th order directs Alex Santiestaban to
turn over to the Receiver any documents and text messages responsive to the Receiver’s requests concerning the Defendant’s personal loans.
