Global Telecom Connect, a telecommunications multi-level marketing company, launched in late 2012 from Florida. Randy Ray, its CEO and founder, brought nearly two decades of network marketing experience to the venture. His corporate bio credits him with launching his first network marketing company in October 2005.
Ray's companies, including GTC, operate from the same Florida office space. He owns three such businesses, which he claims generate millions in monthly revenue. The 2005 company, Fuel Freedom International, now operates as "Forever Freedom." It markets MPG-CAPS, pills that claim to improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and increase engine power. In 2009, Ray launched Jeunesse, a company selling personal care and nutrition products.
Global Telecom Connect markets various telecommunications services. The Video Softphone offers a VOIP app with video support. Call Connect provides a "call back" service for international calls via a US-based "trigger number." Users can make international calls from pre-registered numbers through the LAN Connect service.
The World Connect Service bundles these three offerings, but caps calls to actual phones at 500 minutes. This service costs $69.95. Sim Connect Service provides a SIM card for international calls in 115 countries, usable with an existing cell phone. Pricing for Video Softphone, Call Connect, LAN Connect, and Sim Connect is not available on the Global Telecom Connect website.
The Global Telecom Connect compensation plan centers on recruiting new affiliates. These recruits must purchase either a Supreme Entry Level Package for $179.90 or a Deluxe Entry Level Package for $299.95. Commissions are paid on initial recruitment, with residual income structured through a binary compensation system. The plan also includes several additional bonuses.
Nine affiliate membership ranks exist within the compensation plan. An Independent Affiliate pays membership fees and maintains a minimum monthly sales volume. This rank typically excludes affiliates from most compensation benefits. To reach the Executive rank, an affiliate must recruit at least two new affiliates, each generating a minimum of 35 PV.
