MyShoppingGenie recently unveiled RocketGenie, a new video email and conferencing product. Promotional materials for RocketGenie, including a detailed video outlining its benefits, appear to be an exact copy of a presentation previously used by iWowWe.
The video presentation for RocketGenie is identical to one found on the iWowWe website, dubbed "iWowWe TV." This same presentation was part of iWowWe's offerings, recognized for its clear explanation of video email and conferencing advantages. The only noticeable difference between the two versions is the logo displayed in the final seconds of the video clip.
The official GenieRocket promotional website currently states the product is "coming soon," indicating it has not yet launched to the public. However, the site does offer limited access and information.
MyShoppingGenie has stated that RocketGenie will automatically bundle with all new and existing MyShoppingGenie memberships. The company has not specified if its members will gain the ability to resell iWowWe's video communication services. At this early stage, MyShoppingGenie appears to be limiting the service to its own members for internal use.
This development follows MyShoppingGenie's recent announcement of a new investor. Internal email communications among MyShoppingGenie members described the investor as "a lady who i'm told will be a great asset to the company.........she has her own company and does presentations for it, so she knows what she is doing."
The timing of the investor announcement, coupled with the apparent rebranding of iWowWe's product, suggests a potential partnership between the two companies. This raises the question of whether iWowWe itself could be the mystery investor. However, this theory faces a direct contradiction: iWowWe is owned by William "Bill" Starkey, a man, not a woman.
