Fernando Vila, operating from Andorra, registered the gatwin.com domain on May 23, 2013. His name, however, does not appear anywhere on the Gatwin website, despite marketing materials identifying him as the company's CEO.
The website itself is managed by BETRÓVICA S.L. (CIF B 65898256), located at Calle Muntaner 354, 08021 Barcelona, España. GATWIN S.L. (CIF L709496X), based in Edifici Pirineus 1, 4, 3º 2A de Erts, Principat d´Andorra, supervises the company's file and operations. Andorra is recognized as a European micro-state and tax haven.
Gatwin itself offers no retailable products. Affiliates market only a free membership to the opportunity. The company partners with third-party businesses through affiliate deals, using these to display advertising and provide e-commerce services to its app users.
Commissions flow through a unilevel compensation plan. This structure places an affiliate at the top, with personally recruited members forming level one. Subsequent recruits from level one members populate level two, and so on. Gatwin caps payable unilevel levels at 12.
Two commission types exist within the Gatwin unilevel: advertising commissions and affiliate purchase commissions. Advertising commissions are paid for using the Gatwin platform. Level one affiliates earn 10%. Levels two through eight pay 5%. Levels nine to twelve also pay 10%. Gatwin states it shares up to 95% of its advertising revenue with affiliates.
Affiliate purchase commissions are generated when members buy products or services from Gatwin's third-party partners. The company pays out 95% of the affiliate commission it receives from these third parties. Of this amount, 30% is paid to "the Gat".
