Daily Exposed first reviewed Essens back in 2017. Following a reader request back in May, today we’re revisiting Essens for an updated review.

The Company

Essens, aka Essens World, is a European MLM company run out of the Czech Republic.

Essens primarily operates from the website domain (“essensworld.com”), privately registered on July 12th, 2011. This tracks with Essens being founded in 2011.

Note that Essens appears to set up regional websites for each country it operates in.

Heading up Essens are co-founders Viliam Lalinsky, Libor Prus and Michal Kovar.

Today there is only a one sentence reference to Essens’ co-founders on its website;

Behind the success of the company is a network of distributors led by professional leaders and also a team of senior management along with ESSENS owners Mr Viliam Lalinský, Libor Prus and Michal Kovář at the helm.

Prior to co-founding Essens, Lalinsky and Kovar were
FM World
promoters (then FM Group).

Essens as an MLM opportunity is closely modeled on FM World, with the two companies sharing many similarities.

Other executives are disclosed on Essens’ website and feature corresponding corporate bios.

Essens’ Compensation Plan

Essens doesn’t provide a copy of its compensation plan on its primary website. Instead you need to go to one of Essens’ regional websites to access a region-specific plan.

The following breakdown is from Essens’ UK region website.

Essens Affiliate Ranks

There are nine known affiliate ranks within Essens’ compensation plan.

Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:

Silver Manager – qualification criteria not disclosed

Double Silver Manager – qualification criteria not disclosed

Gold Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit three affiliates who are each generating 4000 GV or more a month

Platinum Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit three affiliates who are each generating 10,000 GV or more a month

Platinum International Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit three affiliates who are each generating 10,000
international
GV in or more a month

Platinum Executive Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit three affiliates who are each generating 50,000 GV or more a month

Diamond Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit five affiliates who are each generating 15,000 GV or more a month

Double Diamond Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit ten affiliates who are each generating 15,000 GV or more a month

Triple Diamond Manager – maintain 100 PV a month and recruit fifteen affiliates who are each generating 15,000 GV or more a month

PV stands for “Personal Volume”. PV is sales volume generated via retail sales and an Essens affiliate’s own orders.

GV stands for “Group Volume”. GV is PV generated by an Essens affiliate and their downline.

Note that “international’ GV appears to be GV generated outside of an affiliate’s country (i.e. sales volume derived through international recruitment).

Residual Commissions

Essens states residual commissions are paid on

all points from your personal orders and from the orders of your whole team are collected from the first day of the month, until the last.

“Points” refers to PV (Personal Volume) allocated to each Essens product. GV is the sum total of an Essens affiliate’s downline PV.

GV is what residual commissions are calculated on each month:

generate 100 GV and receive a 3% residual commission rate

generate 400 GV and receive a 6% residual commission rate

generate 1200 GV and receive a 9% residual commission rate

generate 2400 GV and receive a 12% residual commission rate

generate 4000 GV and receive a 17% residual commission rate

generate 6000 GV and receive a 20% residual commission rate

generate 10,000 GV and receive a 25% residual commission rate

generate 15,000 GV and receive a 28% residual commission rate

Note that the above residual commission rates are also coded. This means that higher percentage qualifying Essens affiliates are able to earn the difference on lower percentage qualifying downlines.

6% Downline Volume Bonus

The 6% Downline Volume Bonus is a volume bonus paid to Silver Manager and higher ranked affiliates.

Silver Managers
receive a 2% bonus on downline Silver Manager GV, paid till a Double Silver Manager or higher is found in a recruitment leg.

Gold Managers
receive a 2% bonus on downline Silver Manager GV, paid till a Double Silver Manager or higher is found in a recruitment leg. Another 1% is paid after this Double Silver Manager or higher is found, down to the next Double Silver Manager or higher in each leg.

5% Bonus Pool

Essens takes 5% of company-wide sales volume and places it into a bonus pool.

This 5% Bonus Pool is split into four smaller pools, paid out to from Gold Manager through Platinum Executive Manager:

Gold Managers receive a share in a 2% pool

Platinum Managers receive a share in a 1% pool

Platinum International Managers receive a share in a 1% pool

Platinum Executive Managers receive a share in a 1% pool

Gold Manager and higher ranked Essens affiliates each receive one share in the 5% bonus pool.

In addition to higher-ranked Essens affiliates keeping shares in lower rank pools, shares across each smaller rank-pool can be increased as follows:

Gold Managers receive 0.5 shares per extra recruitment leg generating 4000 GV or more a month

Platinum Managers receive 0.5 shares per extra recruitment leg generating 10,000 GV or more a month

Platinum International Managers receive 0.5 shares per extra recruitment leg generating 10,000 international GV or more a month

Platinum Executive Managers receive 0.5 shares per extra recruitment leg generating 50,000 GV or more a month

1% Bonus Pool

Essens takes 1% of company-wide revenue and places it into a bonus pool.

This 1% Bonus Pool is paid to affiliates who retain Gold Manager and higher ranks for at least nine out of twelve months annually.

Double Gold Manager – retain Gold Manager for at least nine months in a year and receive one share

Double Platinum Manager – retain Platinum Manager for at least nine months in a year and receive two shares

Double Platinum International Manager – retain Platinum International Manager for nine months in a year and receive two shares

Double Platinum Executive Manager – retain Double Platinum Executive Manager for nine months in a year and receive three shares

Diamond Manager Bonus

Diamond Manager and higher ranked affiliates receive a bonus percentage on downline GV:

Diamond Managers receive 1%

Double Diamond Managers receive 2%

Triple Diamond Managers receive 3%

Car Bonus

Diamond Managers and higher who generate 1,000,000 GV a month for at least two consecutive months qualify for “exclusive car incentive programmes and get a brand new Rolls-Royce Wraith”.

Joining Essens

Essens affiliate membership is free.

Note however that new Essens affiliates are strongly encouraged to purchase products through “an attractive registration discount offer for new members”.

Become your first customer and don’t forget that the best selling point is one’s own experience.

Take advantage of registration discounts and bargain super-packs and see how well ESSENS products work.

Essens Conclusion

In 2017 I noted chain-recruitment concerns with Essens.

Monthly sales quotas of €20 or €100 EUR can be self-purchases, which without retail quotas does introduce the possibility of chain-recruitment.

Those monthly sales quotas have been replaced by PV quotas (which can be retail sales), however chain-recruitment concerns are even stronger in 2025.

Here’s how Essens introduces new recruits to the MLM business;

How does it work?

Have you decided to build a team? CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks to this decision, you will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the marketing plan, you will achieve higher positions faster and make your business more stable.

Remember that it is important to help your team members achieve their goals. Their success is also your success, which you will recognise on your group point turnover.

Your first goal should be to reach the 1st key position, which is 17%.

Register 10 to 15 first lines and support them to reach their goals in selling and building their own teams.

Sign up, focus on recruiting ten to fifteen people, and encourage them to do the same. Presumably under this model sales volume is generated through self-orders.

Another section of Essens’ website directs new recruits, after committing to their own product order(s), to beg “forgiving” family and friends to buy products;

Once you get to know the excellent quality of our products and know the wide spectrum of products that we offer, it’s a good time to use this experience to get an interesting sideline income.

As your first customers, your family and your friends will prove to be the best. Do not hesitate, approach them and test your business skills on them. If there are any slight mistakes, for sure those people will be kind to forgive.

Those mistakes will help you to improve your skills and apply them next time.

The next step is to cannibalize these “friends and family” retail customers in recruited affiliates;

Create a name list of potential customers. Focus on your loved ones, friends, family and colleagues who are interested in perfumes, cosmetics and a generally healthy lifestyle.

Take advantage of your contacts through social media. Remember that the registration (recruitment) of new members who will resell ESSENS products will allow you to maximise the potential of the ESSENS Marketing Plan.

Ultimately, the goal is to get your “friends and family” to recruit “friends and family” of their own.

You have already tested your business talent in your first contacts. It’s great to sell products and benefit from their sales. However, it is much more beneficial to offer them real business potential by building a solid network.

Retail sales?
What retail sales.
Tellingly, retail sales are also absent from Essens’ compensation documentation.

In light of this I don’t believe retail sales are a focus for Essens affiliates. You can confirm this by asking your potential upline how much of their monthly PV is attributable to retail sales. Make sure you exclude PV generated by their own order(s).

If there’s little to no PV, that affiliate is running their Essens MLM business as a pyramid scheme. For their part, Essens does nothing to discourage this (as above, Essens
actively encourages
this behavior).

Fourteen years in and Essens has failed to implement retail volume requirements. This has to be by design, which tracks with the recruitment focus examples above.

Suss out whether your potential Essens upline is generating considerable retail sales each month and decide accordingly.

It’s a shame that for an MLM company with so many products, said products ultimately don’t matter in light of Essens’ MLM compensation plan focus.
