Steve Carmack launched Emza Gold in early 2013, establishing the health and nutrition multi-level marketing company with a Florida address. This corporate address, however, corresponds to a UPS Store in Bayonet Point, Florida, rather than a dedicated business office.
Carmack previously operated as an affiliate with GBG, or Guided By God, another multi-level marketing entity focused on health and wellness products. He achieved the Presidential Platinum rank within GBG before departing to found Emza Gold. The company's sole product is DailyGold, a liquid multi-vitamin and mineral supplement.
DailyGold is marketed as gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free, containing no artificial flavoring or coloring. Emza Gold states the supplement undergoes cold processing to preserve its benefits. Its formulation includes a range of vitamins and minerals, magnesium for absorption, and additional compounds targeting bone and joint health, heart health, digestive function, mood, memory, vision, immune support, stress management, and antioxidant absorption. Sun-Pac Manufacturing in the United States produces DailyGold. A 32-ounce bottle of DailyGold retails for $53.99, or $43.99 when purchased through a monthly autoship program.
The Emza Gold compensation plan pays affiliates for retail sales of DailyGold. Residual commissions are distributed through a 3x8 matrix structure, complemented by various performance-based bonuses. To qualify for any commissions, an Emza Gold affiliate must sell at least one bottle of DailyGold to a non-affiliate retail customer each month.
Emza Gold defines four primary affiliate ranks: Affiliate, Executive Director, Senior Executive, and Trail Blazer, with a National Director rank also available. An Executive Director must maintain ten active retail customers. Progression to Senior Executive requires recruiting at least three affiliates, each of whom has an Executive Director in their downline. A Trail Blazer must build a downline of thirty affiliates, each with at least five active retail customers; no more than 15 affiliates can originate from any single recruitment leg for this rank. The highest rank, National Director, demands at least 15 active retail customers and a downline totaling 800 affiliates and their active retail customers, with a limit of 400 from any one recruitment leg. An active retail customer is defined as a non-affiliate consumer who purchases at least one bottle of DailyGold monthly.
Retail commissions are set at $2 for each bottle of DailyGold an affiliate sells directly to a retail customer. Residual commissions operate within a 3x8 matrix. This matrix places an affiliate at the top, directly overseeing three positions. These three positions form the first level. Each of these three positions then branches into three more, creating nine positions on the second level. This pattern continues for eight levels, ultimately housing 9840 positions. Positions within the matrix are filled by both direct and indirect recruitment of new affiliates. A $2 residual commission is paid out each time an affiliate within an individual's matrix purchases a bottle of DailyGold.
Emza Gold offers a Fast Start Bonus of $20 to affiliates who acquire five active retail customers. If these customers are secured within 15 days of an affiliate's sign-up date, both the affiliate and their recruiter receive a $100 bonus. Rank Achievement Bonuses include a three-day, two-night weekend getaway for Senior Executives, plus a $1000 cash bonus. Trail Blazers earn an all-expense-paid trip for two to New York City, including airfare, hotel, Broadway tickets, $500 spending money, and a $1000 monthly Lifestyle Bonus. National Directors receive an all-expense-paid seven-day, six-night trip to Hawaii for two, covering airfare, hotel, and $1000 spending money.
Two bonus pools provide additional income for higher-ranked affiliates. The Executive Director Pool comprises $5 from every bottle of DailyGold sold company-wide. The National Director Pool collects $3 from every bottle sold company-wide. Executive Director and National Director affiliates receive an equal share from their respective pools each month, based on their rank. Affiliate membership with Emza Gold is free.
Emza Gold's requirement for retail sales for commission qualification presents a positive aspect for the MLM model. However, the $2 commission per bottle for a product retailing at $53.99 offers a low payout. This small retail commission rate may provide minimal incentive for affiliates to prioritize active product marketing. The low commission can reduce the overall appeal and growth potential for Emza Gold affiliates, despite the existence of other bonuses and pools.
