Empower Network launched in November 2011, marketing a replicated blog platform for a $25 fee. Founders David Wood, then CEO, and David Sharpe, President, initially presented the company as a direct sales opportunity for the blogging system, not a multi-level marketing operation.

Early reports of individuals earning hundreds of thousands of dollars through Empower Network commissions raised questions about the model. Such earnings seemed disproportionate to sales of a $25 platform. Terms like "inner circle" and "going all in," often linked to riskier MLM schemes, prompted a closer look at the company's structure.

In December 2013, Empower Network appointed Jonathan Cronstedt as CEO. David Wood transitioned to Chairman. Cronstedt brought a background in affiliate marketing, with previous roles at Digital Marketer, Kajabi, and Glazer-Kennedy Insiders Circle. He also worked in the finance sector before these positions.

The company lists a Florida address on its website, which corresponds to the "Palais Royale" building. This location rents virtual offices for $90 per month. Empower Network's domain registration lists a different Florida address, which appears to be residential. A third address, located in the UK at 66-68 High Road, Bushey Heath, Herts WD23 1GG, appears in the company's Terms and Conditions. The terms explicitly state not to send mail to this UK address.

Empower Network, LLC officially registers as a Florida limited liability company in its Privacy Policy. Founder David Wood lives in Costa Rica, where the company frequently holds events and "retreats."
