Andreas Kartrud, operating from Skane, Sweden, launched Eclipcity Global, his fourth smart-contract Ponzi scheme in seven months. This latest venture follows a pattern established with EtherChain, TronChain, and CyberChain, all branded under the Eclipcity umbrella. Swedish authorities have not yet taken public action against Kartrud despite the documented collapses of his earlier projects.

Kartrud initiated EtherChain, an Ethereum-based smart contract Ponzi, in June 2020. That scheme collapsed within three months. TronChain, a Tron-based version, launched in August 2020 and ceased operations by January 2021. CyberChain, another Tron-based Ponzi, started in September 2020 and was still active at the time of this report. Eclipcity Global now extends this series, marking a rapid succession of similar investment propositions.

Eclipcity Global offers no genuine retail products or services. Participants join as affiliates, and their primary activity involves marketing the affiliate membership itself. The compensation structure centers on recruiting new investors into the system.

Affiliates invest Tron cryptocurrency on the promise of a 310% return on investment. These returns are disbursed daily, advertised at a rate of "up to 1%." Once an investment position reaches its 310% payout limit, which includes both daily ROI and any earned MLM commissions, the affiliate must reinvest to continue participating and earning. This reinvestment mechanism requires participants to commit progressively larger amounts of Tron.

The multi-level marketing component of Eclipcity Global focuses heavily on the recruitment of new affiliate investors. The scheme defines ten affiliate ranks, each with specific qualification criteria.

To achieve Star 1, an affiliate must recruit three investors and generate 5,000 TRX in total downline investment volume. Star 2 requires five recruits and 20,000 TRX. Climbing to Star 3 demands seven recruits and 100,000 TRX. Star 4 affiliates need nine recruits and 250,000 TRX.

Higher ranks escalate these requirements significantly. Star 5 calls for eleven recruits and 500,000 TRX. Star 6 requires thirteen recruits and 1,000,000 TRX. Star 7 needs fifteen recruits and 2,000,000 TRX. Star 8 affiliates must recruit seventeen investors and generate 4,000,000 TRX in downline volume. The top ranks, Star 9 and Star 10, demand nineteen recruits and 10,000,000 TRX, and twenty-five recruits and 25,000,000 TRX respectively.

Eclipcity Global affiliates earn a 10% referral commission on the Tron invested by individuals they personally recruit. The scheme also includes a Matching Bonus, which operates through a unilevel compensation structure. This structure positions an affiliate at the top of their personal unilevel team, with directly recruited members forming their first level. Subsequent recruits by those members fall into deeper levels. This design ensures that the scheme's longevity relies entirely on a continuous influx of new investor funds.
