The litigation originated from Youngevity's accusation that the Pitcocks had systematically dismantled its operations to establish Wakaya Perfection. This sparked a countersuit from the Pitcocks, who alleged Youngevity had breached contracts and that individual defendants had engaged in tortious conduct. Their counterclaims also painted Youngevity as a "spiteful company" and included allegations of infidelity against founder Joel Wallach.
With 926 filings on the case docket and a trial date set for May 16th, the resolution brings an end to a protracted legal battle. The settlement explicitly states that it does not impact claims or defenses involving Andre Vaughn, who remains a defendant in the ongoing proceedings. Vaughn filed for bankruptcy in November, which automatically stayed legal actions against him. A status report on his bankruptcy case is expected by May 18th.
