Vietnam's Competition and Consumer Protection Department issued fraud warnings this week against Crowd1 and OneLink, citing pyramid scheme concerns. The department observed both companies actively promoted on social media platforms across the country. A representative stated that their operational models showed signs of pyramid investment and prohibited acts under current regulations.
The department advised Vietnamese citizens to avoid investing in or developing business systems with Crowd1 and OneLink to prevent physical and legal risks. Crowd1, a European operation, has faced similar regulatory warnings in multiple countries. OneLink is identified as a Ponzi scheme founded by Simon Le, a former Master Distributor for OneCoin.
Vitae, a separate entity not to be confused with Vitae Global, also received a mention in the warnings. This operation is reportedly run by Michael Weber, who has a history of fraudulent schemes. Vitae markets a token that functions as a Ponzi point system. Data from Alexa indicates that Vietnam is currently the second-largest source of traffic to Vitae's website, highlighting significant local interest.
