Collect Direct’s website is currently inaccessible, locked behind a password. This is unusual for a company actively recruiting distributors. The company’s official Facebook page suggests a prelaunch phase, but this information is not readily available on the main website, creating confusion about its operational status.
Don and Nancy Carson are identified as Collect Direct’s Master Distributors. They have named Dave Jordan as the owner and CEO. Jordan is known in the multi-level marketing industry as the founder and former CEO of Valentus, a company selling functional beverages. The Carsons were formerly top earners at Valentus.
Valentus, established in 2014, faced numerous controversies during its operation. In 2017, the company was involved in a counterclaim alleging raiding, extortion, and RICO violations. That same year, Valentus’s coffee supplier filed a lawsuit seeking $3.18 million in unpaid debts. Regulatory actions followed in 2017 when the UK restricted the sale of Valentus products nationwide. Further issues arose in 2019 when Valentus coffee tested positive for amphetamines, leading New Zealand authorities to warn the public against its consumption. Additionally, the FDA issued a warning notice to Alternative Laboratories, a supplement supplier for Valentus, in 2019. Singapore issued a health warning for Valentus coffee that same year after detecting phenethylamine (PEA). In 2020, the FDA informed Dave Jordan that certain Valentus products were classified as drugs. Dave Jordan sold Valentus to Paul Pearson in March 2023. The company continues to operate as Valentus Global under Pearson’s ownership. Collect Direct’s domain registration was updated on February 24th, 2023, prior to the public announcement of Valentus’s sale.
Collect Direct is marketing a range of collectibles allegedly owned by Dave Jordan. These include items from basketball, baseball, hockey, Nascar racing, football, comic books, and toys. Don Carson has shared a YouTube video providing a tour of what he calls a “warehouse” of these collectibles. Specific pricing is not yet available, as is typical for collectible items. The company states that retail customers will eventually be able to browse and purchase these collectibles directly from the Collect Direct website.
While Collect Direct offers retail commissions, its compensation plan heavily emphasizes recruiting new affiliates who commit to a monthly autoship order. The affiliate structure includes fourteen distinct ranks within the compensation plan.
