Aderly Dupont, identified as President of Athena Group in its marketing materials, has a history of involvement in collapsed Ponzi schemes. Athena Group’s website, athenagroupai.com, was privately registered on July 10th, 2024, and provides no clear ownership or executive details.
Dupont, who claims Peru as his origin but resides in Quebec, Canada, previously held a senior role in Mavie Global, also known as the Ultron Ponzi scheme. The Quebec Autorité des marchés financiers issued a fraud warning against Mavie Global in June 2024, shortly before the scheme reportedly collapsed. Athena Group’s domain registration followed this collapse by mere weeks.
Dupont appears to target Spanish-speaking consumers with his ventures. Julian Lopez F and Paula Franco are featured in Athena Group’s promotional videos alongside Dupont, suggesting they are accomplices. The company lists an address in Ajman Free Zone, UAE, a jurisdiction often utilized by scammers to establish shell corporations shielded from law enforcement. Athena Group is purportedly linked to a UAE entity named AthenaGroup FZC. The proximity of Ajman to Dubai, frequently described as a global hub for MLM-related crime, further raises red flags.
Athena Group offers no discernible products or services for resale. Participants can only market affiliate memberships within the scheme itself. Investment is made via tether (USDT) with the promise of monthly passive returns reaching up to 20%.
Membership tiers include Hermes, Metis, Apolo, Athena, Hera, and Zeus. The Hermes membership, costing 500 USDT every 24 months, provides access only to MLM commissions and no investment returns. Higher tiers, starting with Metis at 1500 USDT (with a 1000 USDT minimum investment), promise monthly returns ranging from 6% to 20%. These memberships also include "Mining Rewards" and a proprietary token or credit system referred to as "AMLs," with percentages and amounts varying by membership level. The exact nature and utility of these AMLs remain undefined.
