A Chinese Amway affiliate, Wang Debin, faced sexual assault allegations in Taipei after a hotel employee accused him of groping her. The incident occurred Sunday during an "incentive trip" to Taiwan for approximately 2,000 Amway China representatives. These company-sponsored visits began on March 12th.

Reports from TVBS-N indicate the 37-year-old Wang allegedly grabbed a hotel housekeeper's breast at about 10 am when she entered his room for cleaning. The woman stated he forcibly groped her until a doorbell rang. Wang made the trip with his wife. Police were called, but Wang denied all allegations.

Amway China's operations in Taiwan also included a booking controversy at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei. The company publicized a three-hour performance of "The Legend of the White Serpent" by the Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group.

Amway China secured the major auditorium for "more than 15 days," which allowed for a discounted rate. However, the company used the memorial hall for only five days. The advertised three-hour performance ultimately lasted just ten minutes.

Wang Debin's denial of the assault allegations to police leaves the matter unresolved.
