Barry Alger registered the aperfectmoneystorm.com domain on February 18, 2012. The registration listed a PO Box in Warners Bay, New Castle, Australia. This individual has a history of launching short-lived online schemes.

Alger launched 2 Times Back last May. That system was a direct recruitment scam where participants waited in a queue. Every three new joiners advanced the person at the front, paying a commission. 2 Times Back vanished in less than a year. Alger also operated Text Cash Network, 1Time2Dollars, EZButtonCash, The Profit Monster, EZ2x2, and Wealth Cycler. Most of these were brief recruitment programs. He claims to have pursued internet money since 2001, stating he "made and lost money on Promises, Predictions, Pre-launches, MLM's, Auto Surfs and all the other 'Promised Riches' ideas." This history forms the basis for A Money Storm.

A Money Storm offers no retail products or services. Members market memberships to new recruits. The company claims certain products come bundled with each membership, but does not disclose what these items are. The only detail provided is that "Once you are a Paid member, the items you receive are worth 10 times more than your Monthly membership." The actual value of these items remains unconfirmed.

The program uses a 2x2 matrix structure. A member occupies the top position, with six positions below. These lower positions fill with new recruits or existing members cycling out of their own matrices. New recruitment is essential for matrix completion.

Each full cycle pays $45. A member receives $8 if a personally recruited individual completes their own cycle. A $2.50 monthly residual fee applies for every personal recruit (level 1) or their recruits (level 2) who pay their monthly membership. Membership costs $15 per month.

The company's pitch promises members can "earn money as soon as you complete your matrix or they complete their matrix." Every dollar paid out, however, originates from membership fees. Matrices stall without a constant influx of new recruits. Commissions cease when recruitment slows.

Alger describes A Money Storm as "a highly profitable system for generating a FULL TIME INCOME." Earning a full-time income at $45 per cycle requires recruiting at a significant scale. If new sign-ups decline, income stops. Any claims of guaranteed earnings that depend entirely on bringing in new participants are not guaranteed.
